Christian Binder’s practice focuses on debtor/creditor rights, bankruptcy and restructuring, and business, real estate and commercial transactions. With over a decade of experience, Christian represents individuals, business owners, and companies large and small in a wide variety of complex legal arenas, including financial insolvency and restructuring, creditor workouts, contract disputes, commercial lease and loan negotiations, real estate transactions, corporate governance and business acquisitions, business litigation, and Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

Known for his strategic and forward-thinking approach, Christian’s holistic approach to his practice considers both immediate legal challenges and long-term client goals. He is an out-of-the-box problem solver who prides himself on finding unique solutions to obtain positive results for his clients in and out of court.

Christian frequently serves as outside counsel for companies for whom he handles all corporate, real estate and commercial matters. Christian has effectively and efficiently handled complex transactions and litigation matters for corporate clients that include multimillion dollar commercial real estate transactions, international price-fixing class action litigation, real estate and businesses purchase and sales, commercial loan workouts, and employment and vendor disputes.

Christian has also obtained successful settlements in domestic and international mediations. Chistian’s ability to navigate complex legal challenges and deliver practical, result-driven solutions earned him recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2022.

Prior to his role at Structure Law Group LLP, Christian was a partner at Binder & Malter, LLP, where he built a strong reputation for his work in general corporate law, bankruptcy law and financial restructuring. He is an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, Bar Association of San Francisco, Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum and has held leadership positions in the Bankruptcy Inns of Court.

Christian earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was recognized for academic excellence with multiple Witkin and CALI Awards. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, cum laude, from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.

In his free time, Christian enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and learning new languages.
