Sonya Tamiry is an experienced business litigation attorney with a diverse range of knowledge and practice in advising clients on complex legal matters. Sonya helps clients resolve problems before they turn into litigation, and employs creative and aggressive strategies when litigation cannot be avoided. Her practice encompasses a wide range of areas, including commercial litigation, cannabis, trade secret law, fraudulent transfers, contractor/subcontractor disputes, cryptocurrency, labor and employment, public international law, international litigation, and commercial arbitration.
Prior to joining Structure Law Group, Sonya worked at a large international law firm advising high net worth clients in cross-border disputes. Sonya earned her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she was on the Moot Court team. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global and International Studies with a minor in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While in law school, Sonya worked at two large law firms in Munich and London. She holds a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and a Certificate in International and Comparative Law from Pepperdine University School of Law.
In her free time, Sonya enjoys learning about wine and holds a certificate in the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines. She has lived in Munich, Madrid, London, and New York and loves learning about and adapting to other cultures. She is fluent in Farsi and conversational in Spanish and German.
