Lawrence Kumarasivan is a litigation attorney at Structure Law Group, focusing on a variety of legal disputes including shareholder conflicts, contract breaches, real estate issues, and intellectual property (IP) litigation. His practice emphasizes a detailed and strategic approach to navigating complex legal challenges, always aiming to tailor legal solutions to meet the specific needs of the firm's clients.
Before joining the business litigation team, Mr. Kumarasivan served as a prosecutor for the Inglewood City Attorney's Office, where he effectively managed misdemeanor cases, such as Driving Under the Influence (DUI), theft, and domestic violence. This role followed a postbar clerkship at the Santa Clara District Attorney's Office, where he assisted in the prosecution of serious felonies including robbery, car theft, and homicide.
Mr. Kumarasivan's courtroom experience is robust, having successfully completed several jury trials to verdict. He brings the same dedication and attention to detail that marked his career in criminal law to his current role at SLG, where he is committed to strong advocacy for his clients.
Mr. Kumarasivan earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, with a major in Geography.
Outside of work, Lawrence enjoys staying active through weightlifting, boxing, running, and spending time in the batting cage. He also has a passion for cooking, road trips, and playing with his goldendoodle, Scooby.
