Jessica Nwasike's practice focuses on all aspects of business litigation in both state and federal courts, from pre-litigation resolution to adversarial litigation and arbitration, and through trial and appeal. While Jessica is adept at all aspects of civil litigation, Jessica draws on her prior experience and expertise in handling complex cases, and especially those involving challenging and/or novel intellectual property, corporate, finance, or real estate topics.
Prior to joining SLG, Jessica was at U.S. IP Attorneys where she drafted trademark application office action responses and letters of protest to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Jessica was also involved in the litigation of cases for companies across multiple industries.
Before becoming a lawyer, Jessica worked for several years at a global consulting firm conducting numerous Sarbanes-Oxley 404 audits as well as several financial, regulatory, and operational audits in the real estate, consumer products, insurance, and financial institution industries.
Jessica received her JD from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, Jessica was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Jessica also held the Treasurer position for the Black Law Student Association from 2019 to 2021.
Jessica is originally from Marietta, GA. She is an avid sports fan. When home, you can catch her at an Atlanta Braves game. In her free time, Jessica enjoys playing soccer, traveling and trying out new restaurants.
